Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey. Latifah is the second child of Lance Owens and Rita Owens is well-known for her political and acting abilities as well as her knack for rhyme. A Muslim cousin gave Latifah the title "delicate sensitive" when she was eight years old. Latifah began singing with the Shiloh Baptist Choir in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" in the role of Dorothy in a production of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Latifah was motivated by her mother who was always in touch with the music and students. Mark James, the local disc jockey was invited by Latifah's daughter to perform during the dance.
